The dehumidifier went belly up after 7 months. I put a claim in in my SquareTrade warrantee and within seconds was told my original manufactor's warranttee was still in force. They gave me all of the information to start the claim, and I got my money refunded in less than 2 weeks! If we had past the manufacturer's warrantee SquareTrade would have paid! It was not easy to accomplish. When I clicked on "submit receipt" on their email I reached a login screen for my email address and password. To get a password I must establish an account with them. This did not work because they did not recognize my email address --even though they had used it twice to send emails to me. Customer service was helpful by sending an email explaining how to bypass the website by email (attach Amazon's invoice to an email addressed to receipts@squaretrade.com with policy number in subject line).
